The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for maintenance on an Illumina Inc. for Illumina cBot, HiSeq, and MiSeq equipment. Illumina Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Sequencer and they do not have any authorized third party service providers. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who are certified by Illunmina Inc. as authorized third party resellers/service providers may submit a proposal showing their capabilities and past performance repairing this type of equipment. The vendors shall provide certification from OEM that they are authorized reseller/service provider and have access to OEM parts and supplies. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and replacement parts must be compatible with existing equipment.
