The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Rock House Products International, Inc., Middletown, NY, for a quantity of two hundred (200) ILARTS Centerline Camera  Part Number: W-01MAB2-EIA.

 

Rock House Products in conjunction with Watec  provides Watec cameras to the Navy that have been built with Sony Image Sensors that have been tested/verified to have clean Image Sensors without blemishes or defective pixels.  All of the Sony Image Sensors, the key component of the Watec camera, were manufactured exactly the same; however, they do not all perform the same. Immediately after production all of the Image Sensors are tested/categorized based on how they perform and the cameras provided to the Navy from Watec via Rock House Products are only the clean sensor type.

 

 

The Government does not have the detailed data rights for this effort.  NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C ) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1.  No solicitation package is available for this procurement.  All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
