SCOPE: In accordance with the provisions of Texas Government Code §2156.063, Solicitation of Bids, Texas Government Code §2165.001, Custodianship of State Property and the Rules and Procedures adopted by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), TFC is seeking bids for carpet replacement at TCEQ, located at TCEQ Building-A 12100 N. IH 35 Austin, TX. & TCEQ-C 12124 N. IH 35 Austin, TX.. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) consists of the following documents: IFB 303-0-00470 Attachment A – Flooring Replacement Services Contract Template Attachment B – Drawing Attachment C – Contractor’s Qualifications Form Attachment D – Compensation and Fees Attachment E – Criminal Background Checks and Application Guidelines Attachment F – TFC Bond Forms Attachment G - HUB Subcontracting Plan CONTRACT TERM: Initial order of materials shall begin within fifteen (15) days after award and shall be completed within time specified in bid response. STATEMENT OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision necessary to perform the flooring replacement services as specified in Attachment A – Flooring Replacement Services Contract Template and Attachment B – Drawings which includes but is not limited to the following: Demo, haul off, and proper disposal of existing flooring and vinyl base. Contractor shall not use TFC dumpster or trash containers. Minor floor preparation to make ready for new flooring. All furniture lifting, moving and return to original location to allow for flooring installation. Replace existing carpet with Mohawk Remix #599 Pronounced Navy in Buildings A & C on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors per the building plans (yellow highlighting). Replace existing carpet with Shaw Uncommon Ground 6” LVT #02544 Teak Green in Building A restroom entries on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors per the building plans (green highlighting). Install 4” cove base with toe. All 1st floor Carpet will be installed using flexlok tabs, not glue. All 2nd & 3rd floor Carpet to be installed using glue. All LVT to be installed using glue. Obtain and verify actual measurements prior to ordering materials. Drawings are provided for bidding purposes only as reference material. Contractor shall provide an extra 10 boxes of carpet for stock in addition to any left-over intact stock. Jobsite must be cleaned daily so as not to disrupt employees or normal operations of affected area Upon completion of the work, area will be cleaned and all debris accumulated will be removed from job site. Any area with flooring removed must have new flooring installed prior to next business day. Material and labor on installation shall be warranted by Contractor for a period of one-year from the date of acceptance of work by TFC. All work shall be performed outside of regular business hours. Regular business hours are 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. JOBSITE WALKTHROUGH: The mandatory jobsite walkthroughs are scheduled for: January 27, 1:30 p.m. January 28, 9:00 a.m. The location of the jobsite walkthrough is: Texas Commission on Environmental Quality TCEQ Building-A Conference room A/1 room 165 12100 N. IH 35 Austin, TX 78753 Attendance at one (1) of the two (2) scheduled jobsite walkthroughs is mandatory. Only those Respondents whose names and represented firm are on the jobsite walkthrough sign-in sheet shall be allowed to submit a response. For the jobsite walkthrough, park anywhere there is not reserved parking. Jobsite walkthrough attendees will be met at the Front Entrance of TCEQ Building A. You will be met at Security desk by a TFC representative and escorted to the conference room. Please do not be late. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: TFC reserves the right to change the dates shown below.
