The Commissioners Court of Nueces County (hereinafter called the “County”) will accept sealed competitive bids for: Courthouse Roof Improvement Project, Nueces County Courthouse 901 Leopard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401 in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by ConsultingArchitect: Richter Architects under Project Prime: GOVIND Development, LLC. The scope of work for the Base Bid – Courthouse Roof Improvement Project consists of the following: Removal and disposal of building roofing systems and thermal insulation complete to concrete and metal structural decks; and, replacement with new thermal insulation and an APP Modified Bitumen roofing system for the Nueces County Courthouse and Jail(s). The Work also includes the removal and replacement of the existing skylights in the County Courthouse atrium. All new Work will be required to meet current windstorm Requirement indicated in Construction Documents for the project. The scope will also require the removal, relocation, adjustment, and/ or replacement of existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment currently located on the existing roofs, as necessary to re-roofing the structures. 1. The Contractor shall itemize portions of his Bid in a separate schedule of values for use in evaluating the bid costs. 2. Fees, Permits and Notices: Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits and governmental fees, licenses and inspections necessary and required for the proper execution of the Work. 3. Deductive Alternate: At the discretion of the County, and as may be determined by budgetary or other unforeseen circumstance and conditions, the County may chose not to proceed with the Work necessary to re-roof the New Jail (Building 4); and, may chose to deduct the deductive bid amount for that Work from the overall project bid The scope of work for Alternate Bid # 1 consists of the following: All work associated with Building No. 4 – Jail Roof as indicated in the Contract Documents The scope of work for Alternate Bid #2 consists of the following: All work associated with Building No. 3 – Jail Roof as indicated in the Contract Documents The Contractor shall provide all tools and equipment that are necessary to complete the project in its entirety. All work shall be in accordance with the scope of work. All materials used for the project shall be equal to or better than the existing materials quality. The Contractor will be responsible for removal and disposal of all demolished materials and debris from the work area. The Contractor shall take proper care to avoid unnecessary noise, clatter or obstructions in walkways, sidewalks, and roadways. The Contractor shall not interfere with use or safe passage to and from building and adjacent facilities. Nueces County does not provide project estimated cost, in order to receive 035 99the lowest & best bid for our taxpayers. Bidder should include coverage for a builder’s risk policy insuring the full replacement cost value of the building and improvements against all perils to include windstorm and flood.
