The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with Rolls Royce Corporation, 2001 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, 46241 for performance based logistics support for the life-cycle sustainment of the Infrared Exhaust Suppressor (IES) system, IES components and associated IES equipment currently in use on U.S. Special Operations Aircraft. The intended contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. [email protected] no later than 3:00 pm Eastern Time on 25 January 2019. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources are encouraged to contact the Government contract specialist to obtain additional program details prior to submitting a capabilities statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received by the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
