The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Facilities, Security & Contracting (FSC), Contracting Group, has a requirement for Innovation Data Processing products.  OPM intends to issue a non-competitive award that will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Innovative Data Processing Inc., located at 275 Paterson Ave, STE 301, Little Falls, NJ 07424-1658 for a period of one year.  Innovative Data Processing Inc is the only known authorized vendor that can provide FDR/UPSTREAM LINUX for System z (z/OS based). This software which will replace IBM software called Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) for z/OS. This software tool will be used to replace the backup function of TSM used to backup z/OS UNIX zFS file systems used IBM Websphere Application Servers, TCP/IP and Federal Investigative Services (FIS) applications such as Release Forms, FDR, Agency Delivery, etc along with all the zFS files used to support the IBM z/OS operating system software.

This requirement is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Commercial Items.  The authority for this award is FAR 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source; purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.  

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS.  However, all responsible parties interested in this procurement must submit a capability statement within five (5) calendar days from the date of this notice. This notice will be close on September 12, 2011. Submissions after that date will not be considered.  No solicitation will be issued, therefore, any requests for the solicitation will not be considered. Verification of receipt of electronic transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor.
