INTRODUCTION:

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION to determine the availability and technical capability of both large and small businesses (including the following subsets, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms; Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required services.

The Department of Labor (DOL) Office of Chief information Officer (OCIO) has IBM servers and related HACMP and A IX operating system software at their two data centers that require continuous and ongoing maintenance and support. The availability and performance of this deployed equipment and associated operating system software is essential so OASAM OCIO can provide the expected services to our customers in meeting their agency mission.

The objective of this acquisition is to renew maintenance and support services on the IBM hardware and associated HACMP and AI X software deployed two of OASAM-OCIO's data centers.

The Period of Performance will be a Six (6) month base period with six (6) month option period.

SCOPE:

The United States Department of Labor (DOL), The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), is issuing this RFI in an effort to understand market availability of vendors capable of performing the services outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).

To the maximum extent possible, please submit non-proprietary information. Any proprietary information submitted should be identified as such and will be properly protected from disclosure. The Government shall not be liable for damages related to proprietary information that is not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Responses to the RFI will not be returned.

SOURCES SOUGHT:

The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 541519, with the corresponding size standard of $27.5M. This Sources Sought Synopsis is requesting responses to the following criteria from all sources that can provide the required services under the NAICS Code.

In order to make a determination for a small business set-aside, two or more qualified and capable small businesses must submit responses that demonstrate their qualifications. Responses must demonstrate the company's ability to perform in accordance with the Limitations on subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14).The purpose of this RFI is to gather information as to potential vendors who can provide the full scope of products and services outlined in the SOW under their GSA MOBIS, GSA OASIS, NIH, NASA SEWP, Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), or any other Government Agency contract vehicle.

Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All government and contractor personal reviewing RFI responses will have signed non-disclosure agreements and understand their responsibility for proper use and protection from unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information as described 41 USC 423. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified.

The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties' expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued.

Maintenance and Support Services for IBM Hardware

Objectives The objective of this acquisition is to renew maintenance and support services on the IBM hardware and associated HACMP and AI X software deployed two of OASAM-OCIO's data centers.

Period of Performance Six (6) month base period with six (6) month option period.

Requirements OASAM-OCIO agrees to the commercial terms and conditions of maintenance contract as described.
