The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, LGS Innovations LLC, 4090 Premier Drive, High Point, NC, 27265-8142 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements as cited in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The North American Industry Classification System is 541519. Services to be provided are updates to the Information Assurance (IA) and Security Software for the 5ESS Switch to comply with Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, and to maintain accreditation for DoD network connections for Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific (DISA PAC) Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) Gateway Facility at NCTAMS-PAC Wahiawa, Hawaii. LGS is the only company authorized by Alcatel-Lucent to apply Sun System patches to the 5ESS system equipment. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals, or quotations.  No telephone inquiries will be accepted. This purchase will be under Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 12; Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13; and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1.
