The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) is requesting bids for services to conduct one or more, three to four-day courses on the U.S Army Corps of Engineers’ Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) model. The training will be virtual. Payment will consist of a combination of a flat fee payment and fees collected from course registrations. Attendees should complete the training(s) with a basic understanding of the HEC-RAS model, an understanding of when the model should be used, limitations of the model, an understanding of HEC-RAS inputs and outputs, knowledge of how to add obstructions, an understanding of how to avoid common mistakes, an understanding of 1d vs 2d modeling, Knowledge of running 1d and 2d model, and a knowledge of mapping and presentation of results. The successful bidder will perform the following: Coordination with District staff prior to the class to draft and finalize the dates of the, the training agenda and course materials, as well as advertise the training. Ensure all created electronic documents are ADA compliant Ensure attendees can obtain PE and CFM CEUs for the training. Coordinate and administer registration, including payments Send emails to prospective attendees, such as registration and reminder emails. Provide the virtual platform for the training. Provide the training, instructors, and all course materials for the training (which should include sample model problems for attendees to input data and produce outputs as well as completed models for analysis and mapping). Send post training emails which will include a certificate or a link to obtain the certificate. Schedule and participate in wrap-up activities with District staff. Provide all information after the training, such as, but not limited to, feedback forms, registration information, information on CEU’s, final presentation, course models, etc.
