The Clerk of the Board Verbal statements made by the County or the Ownerâs Representative that are not contained in an RFQ or addendum to the RPQ are not binding on the County and should not form any basis for a bidderâs response to an RFQ. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be requested to submit pictures (via email) with tags, and location of the nursery where the palms are located so that PROS staff may inspect and verify the proposed palms. Any palms that do not meet PROS standards will be requested to be replaced at no additional cost to PROS. LANDSCAPE NOTES: 1. Landscape contractor shall install the plants and trees from the list provided. 2. All plant material to be Florida no. 1 or better based on: Florida department of agriculture current version. 3. All plants not listed in grades and standards for nursery plants, published by the Florida department of agriculture and consumer affairs, shall conform to a Florida No. 1 as to (a) health and vitality, (b) condition of foliage, (c) root system, (d) freedom from pest or mechanical damage, (e) heavily branched and densely foliated according to the accepted normal shape of the species. (Attachment C) 4. All planting beds shall be free of weeds, grasses, debris and rocks larger than 1" in diameter before planting. 5. Landscape contractor shall locate and verify all utilities prior to digging. 6. Landscape contractor must supply all tools, equipment, and consumable materials needed to complete the job. 7. No changes shall be made without prior consent of the Horticulture Manager or authorized representative. 8. Landscape contractor shall restore disturbed areas to original condition per PROS standards. Any existing sod, trees, utilities, sidewalks, pip, benches, irrigation lines, public or private property damaged during construction shall be repaired and/or replaced, if damaged. All unusable materials and debris shall be removed from the premises at the end of each workday, and disposed of in an appropriate manner. 9. There is limited site access for heavy equipment in many areas throughout the planting areas in the Zoo. 10. Landscape contractor is responsible for adhering to provided zoo guidelines for contractors. (Attachment D) 11. Landscape contractor shall provide before and after photographs. 12. Landscape contractor shall verify existing field conditions and report any discrepancies to Horticulture Manager before beginning work.
