Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work.) HURRICANE IRMA REPAIR PROJECT: The Department will seek reimbursement, in part or whole from federal funds through the FEMA Public Assistance Program, and as such, bidder must comply with all applicable Federal Law, Regulations, Executive Orders, FEMA policies, procedures and directives as identified in the contract documents. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials required to comply with the intent of the work described in the contract documents for Rickenbacker Causeway West Bridge Bicycle-Pedestrian Underpass Fence Replacement including but not limited to: Replace the fence line located along the underside of the West Bridge (#874541), multi-use pedestrian and cyclist pathway. The existing chain link fence was damaged during Hurricane Irma, is outdated and deteriorated. It is in need of replacement. This project is to remove the existing 280 foot fence, install new 280 feet of pedestrian/bicycle railing, 48-inch height aluminum, on top of the seawall cap, per current FDOT standard 2019-2020 edition, Index 515-062. The scope items were also summarized below: ⢠Remove existing chain link fence and posts on top the seawall cap/bulkhead; ⢠Repair damaged concrete surface due to fence and post removal; ⢠Submit pedestrian/bicycle railing shop drawings with back-up calculations, signed and sealed by contractorâs engineer for Departmentâs review and acceptance; ⢠Prepared seawall cap, new anchor bolts; ⢠Install railing on top of the seawall cap along the route; ⢠The total railing length is approximate 280 feet; Refer to contract documents for further information. [email protected] A full bid package of the Bid Documents must be requested directly from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department or your bid will be deemed non-responsive. Bid documents will be available on Friday, October 4, 2019. Addenda for this project will be available within the same link which will be emailed to you for the Bid Documents. It is the Bidderâs responsibility to ensure receipt of all addenda, and any accompanying documentation. Failure to return signed receipts as part of your Bid Submittal may deem the bid non-responsive. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Bidders shall have at least five years in business, and shall demonstrate successful completion of at least two commercial projects similar in size and scope. Bidder shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values and contract information for verification purposes. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder's Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects and using additional pages as needed. REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION/INFORMATION: All Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted electronically in word format by 10/24/2019 to

Verbal statements made by the County or the Ownerâs Representative that are not contained in an RPQ or addendum to the RPQ are not binding on the County and should not form any basis for a bidderâs response to an RPQ. INDEMNIFCATION AND INSURANCE: Refer to Project Manual Volume I - 00800 Supplemental General Conditions, Article 1.04 for insurance requirements. COMMENTS: In accordance with Miami-Dade County Implementing Order 3-9, Accounts Receivable Adjustments, if money is owed by the Contractor to the County, whether under this Contract or for any other purpose, the County reserves the right to retain such amount from payment due by County to the Contractor under this Contract. Such retained amount shall be applied to the amount owed by the Contractor to the County. The Contractor shall have no further claim to such retained amounts which shall be deemed full accord and satisfaction of the amount due by the County to the Contractor for the applicable payment due herein.
