The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Station Support/Simplified Acquisition (SS/SA) Branch, on behalf of the National Institute of Aging (NIA) intends to negotiate and award, on a non-competitive basis, a purchase order to Illumina, Inc, 9885 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA, 92121-1975 for the purchase of Eleven (11) 1S DNA Analysis BeadChip Kit (96 samples, multi-use) Part Number WG-311-1130 and Part Number WG 311 1129 HumanOmni 1S DNA Analysis BeadChip Kit (16 samples, multi-use.)

These kits are proprietary to Illumina and no other manufacturer provides these kits that are compatible with the Government owned equipment.

The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR Part 12 procedures and exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
