The Huffman Dam Recreation Trail project will remove approximately 3200 linear feet of asphalt, concrete, and aggregate base roadway, excavate and place new 304 aggregate base, intermediate and surface courses of asphalt to create a new bikeway on top of Huffman Dam. The project will also include curb, pavement markings, signage, fabrication and installation of a kiosk, placement of top soil, seeding, fertilizing and mulching and site restoration. Construction activities for the project include mobilization; demolition of existing aggregate/asphalt/concrete roadway; earthwork; staking and layout; sub-base compaction, placing and compacting 304 aggregate base; constructing an asphalt bikeway; painting pavement markings; installing various signage; fabricating and installing a kiosk; form and pouring concrete curbs; placing topsoil; seeding, fertilizing and placing mulch; site restoration and demobilization.
