The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable contractors for providing a Contract for HUD CDBG Street Materials in accordance with the specifications included herein. One (1) signed original and one (1) copy of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope by the time and date specified in the bid document. Bids submitted by facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted. Interested bidders must log in and download complete bid specifications available under the “Documents/Attachments” tab A sample contract is available for download under the “Documents & Attachments” tab. Please review it carefully. This is the contract the successful Bidder is expected to execute without alteration. If any changes are desired, they must be submitted to the City for approval prior to bid opening. If approved, the changes will be made public for all prospective bidders. Bidder shall not be allowed to alter or negotiate contract language after the acceptance of Bidder’s proposal. Failure to execute the contract without alteration may result in rejection of the Bidder’s proposal and the retaining of a different Bidder by the City
