The Department of Defense Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) intends to award on a competitive basis, using simplified acquisition procedures, a firm fixed price contract for configurable HP Proliant Server or equivalent and VMware licenses to match the number of processors offered in the servers.   The solicitation number is HEVAS6-10-T-0005 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).

The period of performance will be 30 days after receipt of order.

This action incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-39, effective 19 Mar 2010; Class Deviation 2009-O0009 and DCN 20100408.

The Department of Defense Domestic Elementary and Secondary Schools is a federal government agency, an education activity, tax exempt, and qualified for academic/educational pricing.

This acquisition is sought as a small business set aside under FSC Code: 7010, Adpe system configuration. NAICS Code: 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment Software Merchant Wholesalers. Size Standard:  100 employees.  The submission due date and time is 25 May 2010 at 12:00 PM (EST).  All inquiries must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] no later than 12:00 PM (EST) on 20 May 2010.

Fax and e-mail offers will be accepted as follows:

                 (i)  The size of e-mail offers with or without attachments cannot exceed 5mb.  The Government's server will reject any e-mail size greater than 5mb.

                (ii)  Due to the potential of Government server fire walls blocking submission of e-mail offers, the Government recommends offerors activate the "delivery receipt" option.  Offerors should assume the e-mail offer was undeliverable if a delivery receipt is not received.
