The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) intends to award a sole source contract for a healthcare data license to Premier Healthcare Solutions, Inc., 13034 Ballantyne Corporate PL, Charlotte, North Carolina 28277-1498. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a healthcare data license to access a comprehensive database of actionable data that allows assessment of clinical best practices and efficiency improvement strategies, generate recent estimates of antibiotic usage in the United States, monitor trends over time, and conduct epidemiologic studies involving hospital antibiotic use, microbiology laboratory data, and other issues related to healthcare associated infections and antibiotic resistance. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541511, titled Custom Computer Programming Services.

This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. No solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website. We will issue only one solicitation to the Premier Healthcare Solutions, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements and standards for the healthcare data license may submit their capability/qualifications and other supporting information to Germaine Mullins at [email protected] on or before Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10am Eastern Time.

A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
