This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) F4D3D38091A001. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation and supervision necessary to provide the 30th Security Forces Squadron with Farrier Service. 1.1 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Shoe three military working horses at the Security Forces Military Working Horse Barn on North Vandenberg AFB every six to eight weeks. 2. Pry out any dirt, manure or any foreign object in the frog or sole of the foot. 3. Check for any injury and signs of thrush, grease heel, or other problems. 4. Take note of any cracks in the wall of the hoof and consult with Conservation Officers as soon as possible. Contractor must be certified though an accredited horse shoeing school.
