This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Bids are being solicited under solicitation number 20052263. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 20052263 is being issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. This requirement is solicited as a Total Small Business Set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 112920. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Ajo Border Patrol Station has a requirement for horse caretaker service for approximately twenty-four horses located at Why, AZ 85321. The number of horses may increase or decrease according to the mission requirements. The requirements are in the Statement of Work attached. This solicitation will result in one firm-fixed price. The anticipated contract will be for a base period from the date of award plus four one-year options. All offerors must provide cost per horse per day for base period and the four one-year options. Award evaluation criteria – An award will be made to a responsive offeror who submits all required submissions on time, whose past performance does not pose a risk to the Government, and whose offer is the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. An offer is technically acceptable if its technical capabilities conform to the Government’s Statement of Work.
