When a future project is identified, a more project-specific Request For Quotes (RFQ) will be issued to all parties identified under the established Basic Ordering Agreement. The BOA will be incorporated by reference into future contracts, with the same force and affect as if included in full text. Terms such as "contract" and "contractor" are used here to be applicable when this BOA is incorporated into those future contracts.

Environmental Assessments or other project decision memos have identified the need to control NNIS (nonnative invasive species) in selected locations across the Huron Manistee National Forest. The primary objective of this BOA is to remove or reduce the vigor and size of invasive plant populations, thereby minimizing the threat to native plant communities and wildlife. The BOA projects will emphasize control activities on highly invasive nonnative plant species infestations using a combination of mechanical and herbicide treatments. The work will occur in selected areas across the Forest.

Future projects will fall into one or more of the following categories:
1) Trees and Large Shrubs - Cutting and/or Herbicide Applied to Stump
2) Shrubs and Woody Vines - Light Mowing/Cutting and/or Foliar Herbicide
3) Herbaceous Flowering Plants & Grasses - Foliar Herbicide, Mowing, and/or Pulling in: a. dense open land or roadside; b. sparse open land or roadside; c. shady trailside or campsite; d. interior forest; and e. wetlands.

Those parties who are available and interested in a specific project may submit quotes, at that time, including pricing and other requested information. Bids will be evaluated by price, past performance and other factors and awarded based on best value to the Government.

Location: Project areas will be on Districts located in the Huron Manistee National Forest including the Baldwin/White Cloud Ranger District, Cadillac/Manistee Ranger District, Mio Ranger District, or Huron Shores Ranger District. These Districts are located in Alcona, Crawford, Iosco, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogeman, Oscoda, and Wexford Counties.
