Special Notice for Sole Source Award for Pathology Specimen Testing Services
Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Cell, Lacey WA, intends to issue a sole source award under solicitation W81K02-16-T-0125 to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, (SCCC) in the amount of $85,753.88, for a four month contract to provide four patients Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Blood Typing for blood donor matching to be used in Bone Marrow Transplant Surgeries for terminally ill Cancer patients, Department of Pathology at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Tacoma WA. Tests must be processed in a fully accredited laboratory. Once a bone marrow match has been identified the surgical procedure for the transplant will be performed by SCCC in accordance with guidelines established. This will decrease the possibility of error resulting from HLA Testing being drawn and processed incorrectly which increases liability of patient incompatibility resulting in patient's a death.
This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated services within the above parameters as indicated can submit supporting documentation demonstrating their service capability and specifications.
