This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.

The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed price purchase order to One Lambda, Inc., Canoga Park, CA 91303-2801 on a sole source basis to procure various HLA antibody and screening LabType SSO/PRA class typing kits for the Department of Transfusion Medicine.

The NIH Clinical Center anticipates awarding a purchase order, which will include a base period of twelve (12) months and four (4) one year option periods.

One Lambda, Inc, is the only known vendor that can manufacture and distribute the proprietary reagents and kits that will be used in laboratory protocols. These kits are used for routine HLA testing and HLA antibody research for clinical purposes.

This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
