NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Central San invites and will receive sealed bids for the Hearth Replacement, in conformance with the Contract. The work generally consists of the removal and disposal of bricks and debris from out hearths in multiple hearth furnaces, and installation of a new fire brick hearth. The estimated cost of construction is $750,000. Central San, at its discretion, may add additional construction activities after Award of the Construction Contract. A prebid meeting to discuss the Project will be held at 10 a.m., local time, September 8, 2021, in the District’s Multi-Purpose Room, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California. Face covering will be required. The District will receive bids at its receptionist area until 12 p.m., local time per Time.gov, September 16, 2021, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California, at which time and place, in the District’s Multi-Purpose Room, accepted bids will be publicly opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District, and before the General Manager, or his representatives. Face covering will be required. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
