The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to QIAGEN, Inc, 27220 Turnberry Lane, Valencia, CA 91355. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1. This order will be for 20 EA, (Digene)hc2 HPV DNA (High Risk and Low Risk) Test Kits. QIAGEN is the only source for FDA approved kits. QIAGEN is the manufacture and sole provider. The performance period is 60 days from date of award. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement is not set-aside for small business. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
