The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm fixed price order to McDonnell Douglas, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company under N00019-05-G-0026. This order is to provide Harpon Encapsulated integration efforts. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon weapon system and its related equipment. MDC alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe.
