SUBJECT: Hangar Door Repair/Refurbish, bldgs. 4225, 4312 and 4315 (Synopsis).

1. Below is the proposed Hangar Door Repair/Refurbish, bldgs. 4225, 4312 and 4315 synopsis for the pre-solicitation notice to be posted on FedBizOps (FBO.gov).

2. This acquisition, for the Hangar Door Repair/Refurbish, will be a Total Small Business set aside. It will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract (FFP) and awarded to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror. This acquisition is being synopsized under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238290; all other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The small business size standard is $15,000,000.00.

3. The work requirements to be performed by the contractor consists of, but are not limited to, all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision, and all other necessary items to repair broken hangar door pulley system and replace bent/missing panels at bldg. 4225; and provide all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision, and all other necessary items to refurbish hangar door at bldgs 4312 and 4315, Dyess AFB TX, 79606.

4. Place of Performance: Bldgs. 4225, 4312 and 4315, Dyess AFB TX, 79606.

5. Period of Performance and Magnitude: 90 Days ADC, and between $250,000 and $500,000.

6. The solicitation will be issued via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) at
https://www.fbo.gov/. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, plans or bidders mailing list will be issued from this office. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. The SAM site is http://www.sam.gov. When the solicitation is downloaded, it is important to read the solicitation COMPLETELY, as there are milestones that MUST be met by the prospective offeror in order for the proposal to be considered responsive. There will be no preannouncement of when the solicitation will be available; however, the issue date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 14 Aug 2017 with a closing date 30 days after issuance.
