The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is soliciting bids to construct three (3) reinforced concrete Hands-Free Mooring (HFM) slots in the north lock wall at Eisenhower Lock located in Massena, NY. The work includes cutting vertical slots that are approximately 75 feet high by 20 feet wide by 6 feet deep into the lock wall at each of the three (3) locations.  An anchored, reinforced concrete lining will then be installed in each slot cut-out. The work will also include installing vertical rails, anchors, pipes and conduits into the reinforced concrete slot linings and also constructing a reinforced concrete abutment on top of the lock wall adjacent to each slot in preparation for the future installation of the HFM equipment. The on-site portion of the project must be completed between the 2014 and 2015 Seaway Navigation Seasons (approximately between January 10, 2015 and March 15, 2015).  The IFB package is now available for purchase with a response date of September 29, 2014.
