This is a notice of intent for a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) and Other Than Full and Open competition (FAR 6.302-1). Asolicitation will not be issued. The associated NAICS code is 344511. The Naval Special Warfare Group One-Annapolis Detachment intends to award a sole source contract for Engineering Services to Support the Hydro Acoustic Information Link (HAIL) and/or provide Technical Support and Repair Services per attached Scope of Work which shall be incorporated into this requirement. The Government bellieves that only one responsible source, L-3 MariPro Inc. delivered HAIL systems for installation and testing on Special Operations Platforms several years ago. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes that they can meet the attached requirements for the HAIL Systems may give written notice via email tothe contracting officer. Response received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates an award date of 2 March 2009.
