This is a Request For Information (RFI) issued by the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) for information and planning purposes only. No awards will be made from the responses to this announcement. However, responses may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a future acquisition. The MCMWTC is requesting information and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate of cost for requested items.

The MCMWTC is requesting information from industry for vendors with the capability to provide the services being requested. The draft requirements are as follows:

Dates: 27 Jul 2015 – 07 Aug 2015

 

General. The main objective is to train and certify government personnel to maintain the Hagglunds BV206. The course must be held in English, and training material (English) to be used during the course must be distributed to the government by the contractor.

 

Final Objective. After finalized course, trainees will have knowledge about the BV206 and will be able to accomplish the following without supervision:

1. Be aware of and use the vehicle’s safety precautions.

2. Perform preventive maintenance ML3

3. Perform corrective maintenance ML2&3

4. Perform annual inspections

 

With supervision, trainees will be able to:

1. Understand and explain the vehicles subsystems

MCMWTC requests information on vendors that can provide the requested services meeting the above criteria.


If other options are available, interested vendors may submit proposed plans.
If MCMWTC decides to purchase these items then MCMWTC would issue a firm-fixed price contract.

EVALUATION
A purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the vendor whose quote represents the Best Value to the Government. An award determination will be made using the following factors:

1. Technical Acceptability

2. Price

3. Past Performance

2. Price
*The lowest quote received will be evaluated first. If the lowest quote is found to be technically acceptable, no further evaluations will occur. If the lowest quote received is NOT technically acceptable, the next lowest quote received will be evaluated. This process will continue until an award decision is reached.

Interested parties should submit the information requested herein, as well as a ROM cost estimate.

 

This RFI is for planning purposed only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of MCMWTC to acquire and product or services. The MCMWTC does not to intend to award a contract based on this RFI or otherwise pay for the information requested. Submission of a response to this RFI is voluntary. The voluntary submission of a response to this RFI shall not obligate the MCMWTC to pay or entitle the submitter to any compensation. All information and data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be protected as such.
