The contractor shall perform mechanical testing and analysis of consumer cigarette lighters in accordance with requirements of ASTM-F-400-4. Tests shall be performed on 50 to 100 disposable and refillable models of lighters which will be provided by the Government. Testing must be completred on or before March 30, 2006. Prospective contractors must have experience with cigarette lighter testing per the requirements of ASTM-F-400-04 and will be required to propose a means of introducing pressure into the fuel chamber and develop or modify test results forms in accordance with Government requirements. Tests will be performed at the Contractors facility. Quoters must be CCR reqistered (http://www.ccr.gov) to be considered. Written request must be received on or before July 29, 2005. The anticipated date for submission of quotes is August 15, 2005.
