The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to issue a sole source contract with AGDIA Incorporated located in Elkhart, IN, for services to store, process, and test leaf samples for the Plum Pox Virus (PPV) under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(2). Laboratory testing must meet the ELISA laboratory protocols for PPV established by the National Surveillance Program. AGDIA, Inc. is the only commercial laboratory with a special permit to conduct Plum Pox Virus (PPV) testing and the only laboratory approved by the USDA, APHIS Plant Germ Research Facility in Beltsville, MD to do the ELISA testing and is the sole source provider for the Durvis PPV ELISA kits.
