In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1), this is a notice that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to enter into negotiations with MR Resources, Inc to provide services outlined within the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The PWS requires that two Varian INOVA AS600 NMR spectrometers are decommissioned, crated, and transported to storage. MR Resources Inc. is the only company confirm to have decommissioned over 20 Varian/Agilent 600 MHz NMR spectrometers since Agilent terminated NMR production in 2014 and are the only vendor who possess the transit fixtures specially designed for Varian/Agilent AS600 NMR magnets. These specialized transit fixtures have been identified by Varian for proper packing, safe transport, and storage of the magnets. The US EPA intends to solicit this requirement directly to MR Resources, Inc in accordance with FAR 13.106(a(b)(1). Any interested, responsible sources must respond within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement. Interested vendors shall respond to include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the interested parties capabilities to meet the requirements of the PWS. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 calendar days of this notice to determine whether another qualified source is available to meet this requirement, the Government will pursue award with the vendor identified above.
