The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source contract to a small 8(a) veteran minority owned business, Vector Technologies, LLC 1331 S EADS ST APT 714, Arlington, VA 22202-4733 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1). Posting of this Special Notice is in accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6). The intended award will follow policies and procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The FBI requires ten (10) Guardian G2 Portable Electronic Device (PED) Countermeasure boxes. The Guardian G2 PED Countermeasures box is the only product that fully addresses the electronic, audio, and video bugging threats inherent to PEDs through Radio Frequency (RF) Shielding, Active and Passive acoustic shielding, and a PED battery charging capability.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Monday, March 18, 2013, via e-mail to [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. All contractors anticipating award, must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
