Minimum features required for the plant growth chamber:

1. Programmable Control System to adjust temperature, photoperiod, and optional features such as relative humidity, user settable alarms. Controller features should include:
• Real time and countdown programming
• Allow programs that can be run in ramping or non-ramping modes
• Allow multiple programs to be linked to simulate natural conditions
• User-friendly programming and a display with LED indicators and membrane keypad that allows monitoring of chamber conditions and program settings
2. 22 gauge electro-zinc plated steel exterior and interior, all seams and joints welded
3. Unit is painted with highly reflective white baked enamel
4. Temperature range: 4° to 44° C (± 0.5° C) with lights OFF and 10° to 44° C with the lights ON
5. Refrigeration: Water-cooled, self-contained condensing unit
6. Light intensity: Maximum intensity of at least 1100 µmoles/m²/sec measured at 6"
7. Provide balanced spectrum optimal for plant growth using energy efficient T5 High Output Fluorescent lamps and extended life tungsten incandescent lamps
8. Four levels of programming for fluorescent lighting and at least two levels of programming for incandescent lighting
9. All fluorescent and incandescent lamps mounted on a counterbalanced lamp
10. Internal growth area: At least 15.9 ft.2 on a single tier
11. Growth height at least 72 inches
12. Two reach-in doors, each at least 26 inches (W) x 48 inches (H)
13. Humidifier with relative humidity sensor. Humidifier must be capable of operating with reverse osmosis water supply of 50 psi and maintain humidity levels up to 95% relative humidity with lights off and 75% relative humidity with lights on and temperature between 15° and 30°C
14. Delivered to our dock factory assembled with the exception of extended height unit, if required, but attachment of the extended height unit must be easily accomplished by facility maintenance personnel
15. Chamber installation must be within capabilities of facility maintenance personnel who can establish the connection to building electrical and reverse osmosis water supply.
16. Electrical requirement: 120V. At least 2 convenience electrical receptacles inside chamber
17. At least two year warranty on parts and labor that includes on-site repairs at no additional cost
18. Shipping, freight and all other charges must be included in the price quotation.
