The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Pitney Bowes Software Inc., 4200 Parliament PL #600, Lanham, MD 20706-1844 in the amount of $100,590.00 (one base and (2) one-year options) for annual maintenance of the USPTO's Group1 Software licenses (Group1 Data Quality Connector for Siebel Enterprise and Group1 Universal Addressing Module) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements).  This is not a solicitation nor will a solicitation be issued in regards to this announcement.

In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Pitney Bowes is the software developer and is the only source available that can provide the annual maintenance.

BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION:

USPTO has an annual requirement for the brand name for software maintenance as outlined above.  USPTO already owns the software licenses and is only purchasing the software maintenance at this time.  No other brand of software will seamlessly integrate into the existing USPTO system.
