For electronic bids, electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using contract #8115596. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Apple Valley in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
