The Town of Braintree, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and tools for the replacement of the filter media in five filters at the Great Pond Water Treatment Plant. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Great Pond Water Treatment Plant, 300 King Hill Road, Braintree, MA. Sealed bids due on Thursday, September 24, 2020 until 11:00 am, at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All work of this project shall be completed in compliance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts COVID-19 Guidelines and Procedures for All Construction Sites and Workers at All Public Works Sites. An enhanced site specific COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan will be required during the submittal process. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply to all services. Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds are required. Bids that are not prepared as required will be considered non-responsive. E-Mail submissions will not be accepted. It is the sole responsibility of a Respondent to ensure that the proposal arrives on time at the designated place. It is strongly recommended that proposals are mailed or delivered in advance of the due date and time. Late proposals will not be accepted. The Town of Braintree reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all bids, or to cancel this IFB if determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
