In general, the complete Work will provide the Owner with upgrades to the existing Grapevine WWTP dewatering system. More specifically, the project includes, but is not limited to the construction of the following items: a. Demolition of existing Belt Filter Press, rotary lobe sludge pumps, and all appurtenances. b. Installation of two dewatering screw presses within the existing Dewatering Building. c. Installation of two rotary lobe pumps outside of the existing Dewatering Building. d. Installation of screw conveyor to convey dewatered solids from new dewatering screw presses to existing disposal area. e. Modifications to existing polymer storage and feed equipment as required to supply and operate both dewatering screw presses. f. Installation of dewatering screw press structural supports, power provision, and extension of plant service water system. g. Installation of a new service water pump at the existing service water pump station to supply water to the dewatering building for polymer dilution and wash water. h. Incorporate dewatering screw press and any automated flow meters, mass meters, valves, and controls into the existing SCADA system. i. Develop appropriate construction sequencing for installation of the new equipment and integration within the existing dewatering scheme.
