This is a pre-solicitation notice and announcement of site visit for the Granite South Stewardship Project for the North Fork Ranger District on the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Lemhi County, Idaho. The actual solicitation will likely be posted in late winter or early spring; however, the site visit will take place on Thursday, November 17th 2016 at 9:30am. Participants will meet near the project site (see attached map of project site and screen shot of meeting location) about a quarter mile up the Granite Mountain Road off of Hwy 93 N., near Gibbonsville, ID.
It is estimated that there will be 707 acres of commercial harvesting with a rough estimate of 7,000 CCF. There commercial thinning (service item) is estimated at 187 acres. Specific numbers will be provided in the actual solicitation.
