This gooseneck trailer is to serve as a piece of equipment for the H.T. Road crew. The trailer is to used on highways as well as dirt roads. The trailer will be used to haul a skid steer (about 8,000lbs) and a mini excavator (approx. 8,000lbs) at the same time. At other times it will be used to haul multiple cattle guards along with the bases (approx. 5,500lbs per complete unit). The tow vehicle is a new F550 cab and chassis with a flatbed and some boxes on the sides, for that reason if there is a tall version of the gooseneck that is offered by the company, that would be preferred but not necessary.

• Dual Axle (no triples will be accepted)
• Deck of at least 32’ (Including dovetail).
• Electric/Hydraulic ‘dovetail’ min of 12’ in length capable of lifting/supporting 8,000lbs
• Min 98” wide deck
• Stake pockets with rub rail down both sides  the full length of the trailer
• Breaks on both axles able to be powered by the electric signal from tow vehicle
• Lockable storage on front of trailer for chains and binders
• Two 12,000lb jacks at the front corners of the trailer
• 2 5/16” adjustable coupler with safety chains
• 7 way flat  ‘rv’ style of electrical connector
• Sealed wiring harness (protected the full length of the trailer)
•  battery powered emergency break-a-way cable
• Full size spare tire and rim
• Min 3” channel (or equivalent) crossmember no more than 16” on center
• Rot resistant wood decking (can be either obtained by using treated lumber or the type of wood)
• All lights will be L.E.D. (must have all D.O.T. required reflectors and lighting)

We have looked at the FMAX216 and believe this model will meet our requirements.  We are looking for any brand name or equal model that meet the specifications listed above.
