This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, SubPart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued as a Request for Quotation; proposals are being requested. Solicitation number CAAA02  is issued as a request for quotation. Quotations must be good for one month after the closing post date. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339114. The U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following item Brand name or equal (FAR 52.211-6): 0001 - Olympia gold alloy Qty 20 oz; 002 - Firmilay gold alloy Qty 20 oz;  003 Jelenko gold Alloy P/N 114070 Qty 100 oz; Composition: 66.75% AU, 2.9% Pt, 3.35% PD, 12.4% AG, 0.25% IN,12.34% CU, 0.01% IR, Color: Yellow, Melting Range 1688f  - 1832f, Density g/cc: 15.2, Vickers Hardness (H) 280 VHN, 0.2% Y.S.: (H) 607 MPa, %Elongation: (H) 15, Mod. of Elongation: 103,394 Mpa  (H) Hardness. Items should be shipped 30 Days ARO, FOB: Destination/Origin for delivery by Express Mail to FPO Box, and or FEDEX, DHL,or UPS to physical address. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. If not already registered in CCR, go to WWW.CCR.GOV to register prior to submitting quote.
