This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability of potential small business (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract for a study to improve knowledge of the glycans presented on the surface of cells and tissues by glycan profiling a range of tissues and cells used in influenza public health research activities. The project is entitled "Glycan Profiling of Cells and Tissues Used in Influenza Research and Screening". The contractor will perform a complete glycan profiling analyses of various primary cells, cell lines and tissues, all of which will be provided by the government. CDC anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed-Price contract, with a 36-month period of performance. The associated NAICS code is 541711.

Absolute Criteria for Eligibility: The contractors must be able to demonstrate secured access to such intellectual property, know-how and tangible materials for the proposed services necessary to fulfill obligations under the contract, unencumbered by legal or patent constraints. Special note: The contract will require that the offeror has taken all steps necessary to secure access to all intellectual property, know-how and tangible materials to perform all analyses.
