The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on sole source procurement with I.M.P. Fishing Gear Ltd., 44 South Street, New Bedford, MA. The NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Science Center, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. 02543-1026 has a requirement for this vendor to construct 52 gillnets panels – 26 hung on the ½ and hung on the 1/3 in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. All of the panels shall be constructed using 0.90 mm green (Chatham Green) monofilament webbing. The nets shall have a mess size of #12 (30.5) and be 12 meshes high. All 52 gillnets float lines shall be hung with 3/8” diameter poly rope with five 1100lb weak links per panel spliced into the float line (5/16” poly with overhand knot) and 75lb lead core line (74lb per 600 ft. spool).
