NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for commercial services to provide cafeteria, vending, and catering to GSFC employees, contractors and visitors. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 722310 and $41.5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP (Solicitation Number 21-EXCHANGEFOODSVCS) is on or about August 25, 2020. The resultant agreement will be a Concessionaire Agreement with the Goddard Employees Welfare Association (GEWA) for the operation of two (2) cafeterias, two (2) marketplace cafes, vending food service operations, and catering services. GEWA is an employee exchange that supports employees of the GSFC, Greenbelt Campus located in Greenbelt, MD. The period of performance for the agreement will be a five-year base period plus two (2) options (one (1) – 3-year & one (1) – 2-year) for a total of 10 years. The anticipated start date will be June 1, 2021. A site visit is tentative and the synopsis will be updated with the scheduling information.
