Correction made to change the NAICS code from 423490 to 334516.

The Bureau of Public Debt, on behalf of the Office of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau intends to award an Order to Gerstel, Inc. on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, for a Gerstel MultiPurpose Sampler (MPS 2) with DPX option for liquid injection and applicable components.

The MPS2 will allow the Beverage Alcohol Lab to automate the extraction process of several methodologies. The DPX is a dispersive SPE technology that will minimize solvent waste, eliminate the chemist's exposure to these chemicals, and increase proficiency within the lab.

Gerstel, Inc. has exclusively partnered with DPX Labs to create the DPX option to run with Gerstel's MPS2. The solution is not available from other manufacturers.

No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 17, 2010 by 12:00pm ET. Responses shall be submitted to [email protected], Attention GHuffman-JC.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
