The City of Fontana (“City”) is accepting proposals from qualified Geotechnical firms to serve as the Owner’s Geotechnical Engineer of Record (“GEOR”) to prepare geotechnical and soils investigation, as well as perform site and laboratory materials sampling and testing (“Work”), for a proposed design-build project. The proposed project is called the Fontana Homelessness Prevention Resource and Care Center Project (“Project”) and is being designed pursuant to California Public Contract Code section 22160 et seq. All work associated with this project shall conform to the City’s standard plans, Greenbook specifications including any amendments made by the City, and any other building codes or regulations applicable to this project. The proposed project is located on the southwest corner of Arrow Blvd. and Tokay Ave. in the City of Fontana (APN 023217108; Reference Exhibit “A”- Vicinity Map) and will construct a one-of-a-kind community care center aimed to serve the homeless, those at threat of being homeless, and those experiencing medical and/or mental challenges. The project will be segmented into two phases and will include various amenities, site parking, offsite improvements, transitional housing, and prefabricated modular housing units and prefabricated administrative building. The project will be designed and constructed in two Phases. Only Geotechnical Services required for Phase I will be required under this solicitation.
