NASA’s Geospace Dynamics Constellation (GDC) project intends to publish the draft spacecraft Request for Proposal (RFP) during September 2022 and the final spacecraft Request for Proposal (RFP) approximately three months later. Proposals are expected to be due 30 calendar days after the release of the final RFP. For background, GDC will be composed of six observatories designed to study the local and global effects of the Sun’s activity on the high- and mid- latitude regions with a launch in the late 2020’s. For reference, a previous study was conducted. The study contract website contains documentation that was used to guide the study and is now undergoing revisions for the eventual spacecraft RFP release.
