The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is currently seeking sources to facilitate and administer Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Courses. The Workforce Development (WFD) Branch at NSWC IHD is responsible for coordinating employee training and career development opportunities. WFD will host four separate courses; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Fundamentals (GD&T Basic), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Applications and Tolerance (GD&T Advance), Print Reading and Engineering Drawing Practices, and Geometric Tolerancing for Inspection, courses for NSWC Indian Head Engineers, Drafters and Technical Subject Matter Experts Staff.

The four courses shall educate attendees on the basics through advanced elements of GD&T, thus allowing them to successfully interpret drawings and gain an understanding of requirements and standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Standard Y14.5 (the ‘Standard’).  The GD&T Basic and GD&T Advance courses shall provide concepts, language, and techniques for symbols, datum reference frames, and material condition modifiers.

This is a Sources Sought Notice. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this notice. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a pre-solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.

All interested sources shall provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code. In addition, all interested sources shall provide a summary of their company’s capabilities.
