The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency intends to award a contract to the Physical Science Laboratory (PSL) at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico, for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for three of NGA's A35M Geodetic Astrolabes. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and the Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The services required are available from one responsible source and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The period of performance will be one (1) year with the possibility of four (4) option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any responsible source with the capacity and technical capability necessary to successfully perform the requirements described herein may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation no later than 12:00 noon EDT on 27 July 2015.
The subject requirement is to provide operational sustainment and maintenance to NGA's three (3) A35M Geodetic Astrolabes used to measure precise astronomical coordinates of geodetic control points.
