AMENDMENT 01 - UPDATE SCOPE, UPDATE HOURS, UPDATE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE, AND EXTEND DATE OF RESPOSNE

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. 

The principal objective of this contract is to provide up to 100 hours of genetics laboratory support for the genetic stock composition analysis of fish.  This work would be performed on a part-time basis as needed by the government so the hours could be less.   The National Marine Fisheries Service, Auke Bay Laboratory (ABL) is located near Juneau, AK.  The ABL conducts many research activities including identifying and separating mixed stocks of fishes to support international treaties and to support ecosystem research in waters of the Gulf of Alaska and Bering Sea.

All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in immediately.  All responses must be in writing and delivery to fax number (907)789-6004 attention to Heather Mahle, emailed to [email protected], or provided to the address indicated in the solicitation. 

Faxed or Emailed Correspondence or Response to Solicitation should reference solicitation # ABL-15228, in the Subject line to ensure it is received successfully.  This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00.
