The NIAID intramural program has twenty laboratories and research units, located in Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland; and Hamilton, Montana, containing over 110 independent basic and clinical researchers working to exploit fundamental knowledge of infectious agents and the immune system toward improved health for our nation and the world. The Research Technologies Branch was formed within the Division of Intramural Research (DIR) to provide state-of-the-art research services and technologies. The purpose of this requirement is to provide specific knockout or knockin (KO/KI) mice based on up to 25 constructs provided by DIR investigators. When explaining capabilities regarding KO/KI mice, respondents should also address whether they are capable of providing lentiviral transgenics.
